Model: Era IV.
The locomotive has a digital connector, a can motor with a flywheel, and all 4 axles powered. The locomotive comes with a close coupler mechanism and pantographs that work mechanically and electrically. This is the typical version of the units converted in Era IV with buffer beams with no skirting, individual side vents, and altered rain gutters.

Großbetrieb
The high quality class E 10.3 locomotives underwent several improvements and conversions over the years that also affected the external look of the locomotive. The buffers with streamlined cladding were replaced by complete buffer beams, and the characteristic bands of vents had to make way for new, more efficient vents. The original rain gutters were shortened, and the handrails on the ends were improved. The result was a locomotive that differed at first glance from its original appearance, but without betraying its typical characteristics. These timeless units are still in use today in commuter passenger service.
