  • Prototype information

The German Railroad, Inc. uses special locomotives and cars for examining and measuring railroad technical facilities. These locomotives and cars are often the product of rebuilt existing locomotives and cars. These units are also gradually repainted in the railroad's current paint schemes. The yellow paint scheme is thus used for railroad maintenance locomotives and cars. The class 103 locomotives based at the Minden test facility are often used to ensure the greatest level possible of trouble-free operations for measurement runs, above all on main lines. These locomotives are designated the class 750 in accordance with their task as railroad maintenance locomotives.
