Model: Era III. The locomotive's frame and body are constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has an NEM 8-pin digital connector. It has a special can motor with a flywheel. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive has NEM coupler pockets. Length over the buffers 144 mm / 5-5/8".

Prototype information
In 1913, Bavarian State Railroad ordered two locomotives from Krauss and BBC for freight service on the route Freilassing - Berchtesgaden. Even in the design these locomotives showed their typical shape with the two rather rounded hoods for the motors and the two separate power trucks. The transformer was located between the engineer's cabs. During World War I production of these units was delayed until 1920. The German State Railroad Company kept both units as the class E 701. These locomotives turned in excellent results by virtue of their good running characteristics later on and were not retired until 1950 and 1951. During this entire period both units of the class E 701 were always stationed in Freilassing.
