The seagulls scream and fight over the refuse from the fish filet factory owned by Fred Fisher. This firm with its rich tradition in the part of the harbor for fish processing has had his stand for years at the world famous fish market and the producer of world famous fish filets. Everyday complete shiploads of fresh fish are landed, processed and shipped to customers by rail or by truck. Naturally, a closed refrigeration chain is necessary for seamless quality to the end user; for that reason the refrigeration plant for Fred Fisher"s Fine Fish Filets, Inc. has a railroad siding at which the products can be loaded directly into refrigerator cars. The architecture of the building reflects the typical structural steel construction that was typical for industrial buildings from the 1920s to the 1950s. The company names and the history are fictitious but plausible. Any similarity to real firms is entirely coincidental and unplanned. You see: With an appropriate story playing with the rail-road and building a layout becomes all the more exciting. The freight cars suddenly acquire a destination, operations become more realistic and switching operations make sense.
