Product description
Model: The locomotive and tender are constructed mainly of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a can motor with a bell-shaped armature and a flywheel and is mounted in the boiler. The locomotive has a built-in digital decoder and a sound generator with the formats DCC, Selectrix, and Selectrix 2. The locomotive and tender are close coupled. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive has dual headlights with warm white LEDs. Length over the buffers 116 mm / 4-9/16".

Railroad fans in Germany and Europe have viewed the Prussian P8 for almost 100 years as one of the most beautiful steam locomotives ever built. Over 3,800 units were built from 1906 to 1928, for the Royal Prussian Railroad Administration (K.P.E.V.), for other provincial railroads, for foreign railroads, and even for the German State Railroad (DRG). Over 300 locomotives were still in service after 1945 in Germany. The last ones worked well into the Seventies in regional service. Around 20 locomotives have survived up to the present in operational condition almost everywhere in Europe.
