Prototype information

The German State Railroad (East Germany) designated former class V 36 military locomotives taken into the roster due to the shortage of locomotives during the post-war period as the class V 103. These medium-sized locomotives with hydraulic drive were used for commuter service in larger cities and in switching work in freight yards.
