Prototype: Westphalian Provincial Railroad, Inc. (WLE) small locomotive, road no. VL 0604, used on the Westphalian Railroad Museum in Münster (WEM). Köf II design with an open engineer's cab. WLE type Uc bulk freight car with double silos and a brakeman's platform. Built in 1958 for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Current Era V locomotive and car.

Product description

Model: The locomotive's frame and body are constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a DCC/Selectrix digital decoder, with automatic system recognition; the decoder can also be used in conventional operation. The locomotive has a 5-pole motor with a flywheel. 2 axles powered. The triple headlights and dual red marker lights are maintenance-free LED's. The headlights / marker lights will work in conventional operation, they change over with the direction of travel, and they can be controlled digitally. The locomotive has separately applied grab irons. The locomotive has NEM coupler pockets. Length over the buffers 74 mm / 2-15/16".

Prototype information

There are busy freight operations on the Westphalian Provincial Railroad (WLE). The WLE has diesel locomotives from different performance classes for this purpose. Among the small locomotives is road no. VL 0604, a Köf II built in 1948. It is now part of the operational roster of the Westphalian Railroad Museum in Münster (WEM) and is used for special runs.
