Prototype: Norwegian State Railways (NSB) class 63a (former class 52) freight train steam locomotive. Version with a tub-style tender, enclosed engineer's cab, and Witte smoke deflectors. The locomotive looks as it did in the Fifties.

Model: The locomotive has a DCC decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. The motor is in the locomotive's boiler. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive's frame is articulated to enable the locomotive to negotiate sharp curves. The triple headlights on the front of the locomotive and the dual white marker lights on the rear of the tender change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The 7226 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. Protective sleeves for the piston rods can be installed on the locomotive.
