The cars look as they did in 1989.

Product description
Model: The children's car is new tooling. All the cars have a close coupler mechanism. A lighting kit can be installed in the cars. There is limited clearance for the children's car in Track Radius 1!

You can make up a prototypical train by adding the 16109 class 110 locomotive and the 18275 and 18276 express train passenger car sets.
