The prototype is a German Federal Railroad (DB) class 181.2 electric locomotive with a steel blue basic paint scheme. It bears the road number 181 203-1 and retains its appearance from 1984 onwards.
The model of this locomotive features a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It is equipped with controlled, high-efficiency propulsion that includes a centrally mounted flywheel. All four axles are powered through cardan shafts, and there are traction tires for enhanced grip. The locomotive showcases triple headlights and dual red marker lights that change according to the direction of travel. These lights can be operated conventionally or controlled digitally. In digital operation, the lights at Locomotive End 2 and 1 can be individually turned off. The cab lighting also changes based on the direction of travel, and the engine room lighting can be controlled digitally. The lighting system utilizes maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs.
Additionally, the model features digitally controllable pantographs that can be raised and lowered. It is detailed with separately applied imitation wheels, grab irons, windshield wipers, UIC sockets, and roof conductors. The buffer height adheres to the NEM standard. Brake lines, prototype couplers, and various plugs are included as separate parts for installation. The length over the buffers is approximately 20.6 cm / 8-1/8".

The prototype consists of four different design passenger cars used in the long-distance express FD 264 "Mozart" train. The train composition includes a German Federal Railroad (DB) type ARmh 217 half dining car, a French State Railways (SNCF) type A9u passenger car for 1st class, an Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) type Bmz passenger car for 2nd class, and a German Federal Railroad (DB) type Bm234 passenger car for 2nd class, which serves as a through car between Munich and Kehl. The train route covers FD 264 from Vienna West Station to Strasbourg, with the possibility of continuing to Paris East. The respective car sequence numbers are 102, 107, 108, and 9 (for the through car Munich-Kehl). The appearance of these cars reflects the design they had in 1987.
The model of the type Armh 217 half dining car is newly designed and includes a built-in digital decoder with extensive light and sound functions. It allows separate control of table lamps, open seating area lighting, dining area lighting, and galley/bar lighting in digital operation. The interior details are presented in multiple colors, and all cars come with factory-installed LED interior lighting. Each car is equipped with a buffer capacitor to bridge intermittent spots on the track without current. The cars feature operating, current-conducting close couplers.
The interior lighting of the cars works in coordination with the dining car, requiring the assigned car sequence to be maintained. The decoder in the dining car allows for digital control of the interior lighting throughout the entire car consist, which can be turned on and off. In conventional operation, the interior lighting is automatically turned on. The roofs, side walls, underbodies, and skirting are specifically designed for each car type. The type Bm234 passenger car is equipped with factory-installed marker lights. The cars also have imprinted car route signs and sequence numbers. Additionally, separate parts for installing restroom downpipes are included. The minimum radius required for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16". The length over the buffers is approximately 112.8 cm / 44-3/8".
